External hard drives are the latest trend. And rightly so, because they can always be transported and connected to another device. The ICY BOX 3662U3 offers you as much storage space as you want. Since up to two hard drives of any desired size can be connected to the robust aluminum enclosure. The big advantage of the material: The aluminium dissipates the heat efficiency to the outside of the enclosure.

In addition, the cooling is further enhanced by a large 6cm fan, which quietly ensures proper air circulation. The installation of hard drives into the IB-3662U3 is done without any tools. Thanks to the modern EasySwap technology , they can be replaced quickly at any time.

The connection to a computer, media server or Smart TV is done via fast USB 3.0, with which transfer rates can reach up to 5 Gb per second. Each disk is then displayed as an individual drive (JBOD = "Just a Bunch of Disks").

This stylish 3.5" HDD enclosure can accommodate two HDDs with unlimited storage space. The HDDs can then be replaced without using any tool at any given moment even while operating thanks to the help of HotSwap and Plug & Play

Active meets passive
By the heat dissipation (convection) a differenciation has to be made between active and passive convection. The IB-3662U3 used both. The aluminium has a natural astounding (passive) convection and it is being assisted by a 6 cm fan that actively provides new cool air to the device.

In order to know where you stand
The IB-3662U3 has two LEDs integrated in order to provide information regarding HDD access and activity (read/write) for each HDD seperately. The rapit USB 3.0 interface ensures a fast data transfer of up to 5 Gbit/s so even the biggest files are transferred easily and quickly.
